Perhaps there is hope for humanity! The British Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, recently gathered global leaders at the historic Bletchley Park for the "AI Safety Summit." This included politicians from the USA and China, as well as Elon Musk, to discuss the risks associated with AI. One of the outcomes was that 28 countries signed the "Bletchley Declaration."

Bletchley Park is a symbolic site. It was here that brilliant minds, such as Alan Turing, worked to decrypt the Enigma code, thereby helping to shorten World War II and save many lives. Perhaps this site can gain similar significance again. The Bletchley Declaration outlines a shared vision for promoting safety and ethical considerations in the development and implementation of AI. World leaders from 28 countries agree on the risks, the need to build risk-based policies, and the importance of transparency.
