    Order Management

Order Management is an application that enables the creation and management of orders between different actors, such as customers and suppliers. In its most basic form, an order is a connection between a person or an actor and a product, indicating that someone has ordered something.

However, the application extends this concept to consider who orders from whom, creating a many-to-many relationship between actors that place and receive orders.

The application includes an Order Information Model that contains information about each order, such as the actor that placed the order, the actor that received the order, the order state (offered, ordered, canceled, delivered, partly delivered), the timestamp, and actor responsible for each status change, the order amount, discount, and reference.

Order Management can operate as a standalone application with its user interface, but it can also be integrated as a component through APIs.

The application depends on product and customer information and is connected with Product Information Management (PIM) and Price Optimisation system to access product information and prices.

The application is primarily designed for B2B orders, but it can also be used for B2C ordering or a B2B marketplace. As an add-on Sourcing Optimisation gives the functionality to help with what to order, when to order it, from which supplier, and how much to order for each product. This feature is mainly applicable for B2B orders but can also be used for B2B marketplaces.

Product Sourcing helps with the ordering process by predicting demand based on the number of items in stock, outgoing items, incoming items, and predicted demand for items. It calculates how many items need to be ordered and from which supplier based on factors such as price levels and delivery time.
